Status: Cultural Insitutions After the Hurricane
The American Insitute for Conservation has established a Web site for sharing and disseminating information on the recovery of cultural materials. For the latest news on the recovery effort see AIC's National Collections Emergency News (NCEN).
Since Huricane Katrina made landfall, the Heritage Emergency National Task Force has convened regular conference calls for representatives of federal, state, and local organizations, agencies, and institutions involved in relief efforts. Reports of these calls contain extensive information on damage to cultural heritage and on relief efforts.
