Kat Fitzpatrick's Note Cards
Set of 15 notecards for $25. Scenes from Hurricane Katrina in black and white. Order the cards from Fitzpatrick at katfitzpatrick@earthlink.net or (352) 281-7740. A portion of proceeds will go to disaster relief for Gulf Coast artists.
Kat Fitzpatrick, a Bay St. Louis artist and an art teacher at Coast Episcopal School, usually works in encaustic, but since most of her supplies are now slimy guck thanks to Hurricane Katrina, she has gone back to the basics. She took just India ink and watercolor paper with her to the Mississippi Art Colony in Utica at the end of September and put down on paper what she saw.
I have a set of these notecards in front of me. They are beautiful and would also be suitable for framing, if desired. (That's what I plan to do with them.) The three below were my favorites: the bridge in Bay St. Louis, an overturned car and Tent City in Waveland.
