Dreampainters
Sami and Lynn Awad own a small art gallery in Gulfport. It was badly damaged during the hurricane, but they are still able to work out of it. They are working now on rebuilding their client list and selling enough to restock and meet expenses.
Sami Awad
A native of Palestine, Sami, 64, has a wonderful gift for mixing brilliant color. His fish and sea creatures come to life through a magical blend of fantasy and realism. The scope of his work is larger than life. Sami began painting in his native country at an early age using old-world tools and paint. He continues to seek out the older forms of paint and style and finishes with a totally modern concept of his subject. All canvas is hand built and framed in a mitered oak brace. Most work is done in oil, although some are mixed media. Sizes range from 2ft x 3ft. up to 4 ft x 8 ft. Custom orders are appreciated.Your satisfaction is assured. Prices range from $500 to $1500.
Lynn Awad
Lynn Awad, 60, is a true southern artist with a whimisical flair. Her work is modern and edgy with an attitude for color, composition and content. The art is the paint and that’s enough. Her children's art with dramatic color mix will make you smile. Parts of a Woman, Play on Picasso or her Windows series will make you think. All canvas are wood and hand built to rigid specifications. Most work is in oil with matte finish. Prices range from $300 to $1000. Custom orders encouraged.
